About Ashcroft

Return to Ashcroft main page
Ashcroft features a variety of refurbished buildings and is maintained by the Aspen Historical Society. Several of the buildings are shown below, including the false-fronted Hotel View (bottom). The virtual tour shows both the inside and outside of a false-fronted building, and presents a video of how the town looks when entered from the rear (the opening photo shows it from the front). Ashcroft has a long and varied history, from its origins in 1880, to its use in the 1930's by famed sportsman Ted Ryan and his partner Billy Fiske, captain of America's gold medal Olympic bobsled team.
